The A5 Coupe is a direct attempt by Audi to take on both the BMW 3 Series and the Mercedes E Class coupes, and in many areas it succeeds particularly well in doing so.
As you'd expect from Audi, the A5 Coupe is solid and sleek in appearance and has a great build quality. It also offers a wide range of petrol and diesel engine options.
The smallest petrol engine is a turbocharged 1.8L, which was replaced relatively early in the car's history with a beefed-up 2L version. If you want a serious amount of power under the bonnet, though, go for the 3.2L version or even the 4.2L V8 that comes as standard in the S5 version of the car.
In terms of diesel offerings, there are three to choose from and these range from 2 to 3L. In 2014, an extra Ultra diesel engine was introduced which promised exceptionally low emissions combined with 65mpg+ fuel consumption.
The A5 is probably best described as a two-person car, as the back seats offer limited leg and headroom. However, it's a great driving experience when you're up-front, with comfortable seats and fantastic sound insulation, even at speed.
If you're looking for a stylish car that is especially good for long distance driving, you should find no problem in tracking down a great used A5 Coupe from a dealer near you via Motors.co.uk.
