The BMW Z4 Convertible is a classic two-seater soft top which offers high levels of refinement, as well as an exhilarating driving experience.
The Z4's power is provided by a number of petrol engines, from 2L up to the 3.2L in the high performance Z4 M, all offering a range of power outputs. For example, the 2L comes in 153, 182 and 242bhp versions while the 3.2L produces 343bhp.
Like most BMWs, the Z4 is a rear-wheel drive car and its Drive Dynamic Control System ensures that it is responsive, sensitive and precise, whether it's in Normal, Sport or Sport+ mode.
While it has attractive and reasonably compact aesthetics, the car is surprisingly roomy inside and its clever aerodynamics also mean that it is quiet for driver and passengers even when travelling at speed. It's also reasonably practical in terms of storage space, with 310 litres capacity in the boot or 180 litres when the roof is down.
The equipment level is high and includes an alarm, hill-start assistance, headlight washers and a DAB radio. Higher levels of trim also include dual-zone climate control, heated leather seats and rain-sensitive windscreen wipers.
