Production of the Citroen C3 Picasso began in 2008, shortly after the C4 Picasso, to replace the Xsara Picasso MPV. Based on the C3 platform, the Picasso MPV has an impressive amount of interior room and was updated in 2013 to revamp the engines to meet Euro 6 standards. However, the lineup was discontinued in 2017 before it could enter another generation.

While the C3 Picasso was available with petrol or diesel engines and manual or automatic gearboxes, all models came standard with front-wheel drive.
Petrol- 1.2-litre generates 110bhp, a 0-60mph time of 11.4 seconds and fuel economy of up to 56mpg.
- 1.4-litre makes 95bhp, has a 0-60mph time of 11.8 seconds and a rating of 44mpg.
- 1.6-litre increases output to 120bhp, cutting the 0-60mph time to 11.1 seconds, with fuel economy at 47mpg.
- Petrol models have a higher towing rating, handling up to 1,100kg.
- 90bhp 1.6-litre received an update in 2013 that increased the fuel economy to around 62mpg.
- A 100bhp 1.6-litre was also available with a 12.9-second 0-60mph time and fuel economy of up to 72mpg.
- 110bhp variant of the 1.6-litre was also available, which was increased to 115bhp in the 2013 update.
