In the Panda 4x4, Fiat has managed to succeed in the difficult task of creating a supermini that's a great off-roader too - plus, it's really fun to drive.
The first version of the model was launched in 2005 as an addition to the Panda range and offered two engine versions, a 1.2L petrol and a 1.3L Multijet diesel. The latter was the favoured option for many for the extra power it provided. In 2012, the car underwent a major revamp and the petrol engine was replaced by a 0.9L TwinAir turbo, while the 1.3L diesel Multijet was given a power boost too.
Always good off-road, the 2012 version was made even better in this respect with the addition of the choice of three driving modes depending on the road conditions.
Equipment levels are good for a car of this size with air conditioning as standard, CD/MP3 radio, trip computer and a lighter power-steering setting for city driving.
In terms of comfort, the car has plenty of space for three passengers and a driver and the storage area more than competes with other cars in its class.
This is a fantastic offering if you're looking for a supermini with that bit extra to give - and you can find a great choice of used Panda deals on Motors.co.uk.
