The E-type convertible is an iconic symbol of British sports car style. The current generation of soft-tops from the manufacturer carry on the tradition with panache, and they all are stunning machines in their own right - the F Type R, the XK8 and the XK.
The F Type R boasts some real power beneath the bonnet with a 5L supercharged engine whose 542bhp delivers a top speed of 186mph and a 0-62mph figure of just four seconds. Available with either rear-wheel or four-wheel drive, slipping it into dynamic mode provides a truly exhilarating experience.
The XK8 was made from 1996 to 2005 and comes with a choice of two petrol engines, a 4.2L 300bhp version and, in models from 2002, a 4L V8. Designed for long distance cruising more than for out and out performance, the XK8 is packed with civilised features like computer-controlled suspension and parking sensors.
The XK shares a 4.2L engine with the XK8 and its handling is further enhanced by Jaguar Drive Control featuring three settings: Standard, Winter and Dynamic.
