The Jeep Grand Cherokee 2013 range builds on the increasingly European sensibility of the previous model. Minor exterior styling tweaks are joined by a revised sports air suspension and an interior rethink which gives the best Germany has to offer a run for its money.
There are three engines in the new Grand Cherokee, a 3L V6 diesel producing either 188bhp in the Laredo and Limited models or 247bhp for the Overland and Summit, and a ferocious 461bhp 6.4L V8 which can power the fiery SRT to 60mph in just five seconds. The Quadra-lift air suspension in Overland models and above make this the most comfortable Grand Cherokee yet.
Inside, all models get a touchscreen infotainment system with aux and USB inputs, climate control and electric windows. Limited trim adds leather trim, electrically adjustable front seats and parking sensors, and Limited Plus comes with sat-nav. Overland models get adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitors and a sunroof, and the Summit gets a 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound-system and exclusive trim.
Interior space has also been improved in the Jeep Grand Cherokee 2013. There are five seats, all offering ample head and legroom and a vast 782-litre boot.
