Originally based on the Willys Jeep, the Wrangler was first launched in 1987. Since then, it has been through four generations. The styling hasn't changed too during that time, with only mild modernisation helping it to remain one of the most recognisable vehicles on the road. Jeep continues to add new features that make it more off-road capable and appealing to today's drivers.
Fourth Generation (JL) (2018-present)
With the start of a new generation, Jeep aimed to keep everything that was good about the previous versions and upgrade the vehicle in a few key areas. It became easier to convert the soft and hard tops, remove the doors and fold down the windscreen. Safety was enhanced with new airbags and active safety technology.
In 2024, the first refresh of this generation was released. It included new styling with an updated grille to provide more cooling, exciting wheel designs and an upgraded factory winch. Towing capacity was also improved.
