The Mercedes C Class Coupe is a genuine rival to both the Audi A5 and the BMW 3 Series Coupes, and improves on them both in a number of ways. It handles well, the standard of equipment levels are high and its raked windscreen and sporty lines really make it stand out on the road.
The Coupe is available in a range of excellent petrol and diesel engines. In terms of petrol engines, there are two - 1.8L versions and a very powerful 3.5 V6 - both featuring a seven-speed automatic gearbox. There are two versions of the 2.2L diesel C Class Coupe and both have the choice of either manual or automatic transmissions. In 2013, a 1.6L BLUE Efficiency engine was introduced offering 44mpg economy.
In the C Class Coupe manufactured up until 2013, there is just one trim level - AMG Sport - which offer a great range of features including active blind spot parking assistance, stop/start technology and a Telematic system, which offers internet connectivity and the ability to display SMS messages on screen. For the post-2013 C Class, a Sport + trim level was added, offering sportier seats and styling.
