Mercedes introduced their E Class Coupe in 2009 as a stylish and sophisticated car that was intended to carry four people in comfort on long journeys but to be equally at home in urban environments.
It was launched with five engine variations, two petrol and three diesel offering a range of power outputs from 181bhp to 327bhp.
The diesel engines, in particular, offer an appealing combination of power and economy, in fact the most frugal of them, the E220CDI, is supposed to be able to cover an incredible 850 miles on a single tank so it's lucky that the car is very comfortable to travel in. The boot is a very generous 450 litres of luggage space so even this is designed for the long journey.
Mercedes has always been associated with quality and high specification and this is also very true of the E-Class Coupe. All models come with a DAB radio and various methods of driver assistance including parking sensors and collision prevention warnings. On SE models there's also the option to change from Comfort to Sport mode at the touch of a toggle.
In all, the E-Class Coupe delivers great performance coupled with elegance, refinement and style. If this appeals to you, then you'll find plenty of models to choose from at dealers featured on Motors.co.uk.
