Building on the original MINI design from the 1960s, the Hatch was first introduced in 1997. Its retro styling hadn't changed much from the original design and it had just enough room to hold four people. Now, the famous model (also known as the MINI Cooper) is in its fourth generation, bringing modern styling and upgraded technology to the classic shape.
Fourth Generation (2023-present)
The goal of the fourth generation was to create more efficiency and excitement with upgraded powertrains, but the styling was also refreshed. LED lights were added to the front of the car and the interior received a minimalistic design without giving up any of the premium features it was known for.
The MINI Cooper SE was electrified and was also given some updates. While this model only came in the three-door design, it did gain flush door handles that gave it a flowing style, and the tilted tailgate received a roof spoiler.
