Peugeot released the 107 in 2005 as part of the joint partnership with Toyota and Citroen, creating a similar design to the Aygo and C1. They were essentially the same other than the body shape, minor interior differences and unique badging. Peugeot offered a slight refresh in 2008 to keep up with Euro 5 emissions standards, but the 107 didn't make it out of the first generation and was replaced by the 108 in 2014.

Engines and transmissions
All Peugeot 107 models were built with a sole petrol engine, with a manual or an automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive.
Petrol- 67bhp 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine is the same as that found in the Toyota Aygo and Citroen C1.
- At launch, the engine offered a combined fuel economy of 61.4mpg, but was later updated to 62.7mpg (2009) and finally hit 65.7mpg (2012).
- CO2 emissions started at 109g/km, but dropped to 106g/km with the first update and ended at 99g/km with the final revisions.
Practicality
The Peugeot 107 may not be a big car, but for its size there's a lot more room than expected, particularly in the front.
Interior space- Front seats are adjustable and are comfortable on long drives.
- Available rear ISOFIX points hold child seats securely.
- Two shorter adults can fit comfortably in the back seat.
- Rear windows pop open.
- Smaller boot space holds a few shopping bags but no more.
- Glass panel covers the boot space.
- 50:50 split rear seats can be folded down for more room.
- Three-door hatchback is sportier and appeals to younger drivers.
- Five-door hatchback is better for families that need to access the back seat.
Safety
- 2012 Euro NCAP rating was three stars.
- Child occupant rating is 73%, while the safety assist score is 71%.
- Standard kit includes four airbags, ABS and a passenger airbag deactivation switch.

Used Peugeot 107 FAQ's
Which is the most popular engine in the Peugeot 107?
The Peugeot 107 has only been built with a 1.0-litre engine that creates 67bhp. While there aren't many options regarding the engine, the newer the model is, the more efficient it becomes.
Which are the most popular model variants?
Peugeot offered the 107 in three variants: Active, Allure and Envy. Overwhelmingly, the base Active is the most popular trim, most likely because of its cheaper price and standard features such as air conditioning, electric front windows and remote central locking.
What optional extras should I look out for?
Some models have air conditioning, which is helpful if you want to stay cool while driving. Customers should also look out for leather trim and fog lights.
Is the Peugeot 107 a good family car?
The 107 is a good family car as there's plenty of room for children in the back. If you plan to regularly use the rear seat, it's best to opt for the five-door hatchback model.
Is there a hybrid version of the Peugeot 107?
No, there are no hybrid versions of the 107. Instead, all Peugeot 107 cars came with a 1.0-litre petrol engine, shared with the Toyota Aygo and Citroen C1.
Is the Peugeot 107 available as an automatic?
While there wasn't an option for the engine, Peugeot did supply the 107 with the choice of an automatic or a manual transmission. Among the used models, the manual is far more popular, probably because it helps to keep the cost down.
Is there a four-wheel drive version available?
No, Peugeot didn't make the 107 with four-wheel drive. As a city car, all that's needed is front-wheel drive capability, offering the highest levels of fuel efficiency.
