Engines and transmissions
While the Porsche Taycan is all electric powered with an automatic gearbox, there is the option between rear- and four-wheel drive.
Electric- Base RWD model has a single motor to create 402bhp for a 5.4-second 0-62mph time and a range of up to 276 miles.
- Other models include dual motors and four-wheel drive, which generates an output between 455bhp and 1,093bhp (in the Turbo S when using Attack Mode).
- Turbo GT has the fastest 0-62mph time of 2.2 seconds when using the Attack Mode.
- 800V charging system accepts up to 320kW DC, allowing a 10% to 80% charge in just 18 minutes.
- When fully charged, the Taycan can travel up to 422 miles.
Practicality
Despite being a high-powered sports car, the four-door Taycan is extremely practical, with everyone inside able to enjoy complete comfort.
Interior space- Available 18-way adjustable adaptive sports seats can be configured for any driver.
- Outer rear seats hold adults with ample knee and legroom, while a 4+1 seating option makes use of the centre seat for children.
- Door pockets and central vents are provided for the rear seat.
- ISOFIX mounting points are installed in outer rear seats.
- 84-litre front boot pairs to the 407-litre boot to hold gear.
- 60:40 or 40:20:40 split rear seats increase the amount of boot space.
- Sports saloon has a traditional four-door design.
- Sport Turismo is an estate with five doors.
Cross Turismo has an increased height compared to the Sport Turismo.

- Achieved a perfect five-star safety rating during 2019 Euro NCAP testing.
- Adult and child occupant safety scores were 85% and 83%, respectively.
- Standard safety kit includes lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a rear-view camera and parking sensors (front and rear).
