Even though it's visually similar to the previous Clio, this generation was designed to offer a more upmarket feel and so was fitted with a plush interior. The company also released a hybrid model, known as the Clio E-Tech, featuring a smooth and highly efficient powertrain.
The all-new Clio has been regarded as more responsive and quieter overall than previous models. The boot space also increased slightly, leaving a little less rear seat room.

Fourth Generation (2013 to 2019)
At the start of this model, Renault discontinued the three-door hatchback and estate bodystyles due to low sales. Those changes meant that the popular R.S. model would become a five-door hatchback and only come with an automatic gearbox. Renault also streamlined the engine options, leaving every Clio with a turbocharged motor.
A facelift occurred in 2016 with slightly updated exterior styling. The range was also cut down in 2018, leaving just three trims: Play, Iconic and GT Line.

Third Generation (2005 to 2012)
