The Subaru Impreza WRX STi (the WRX stands for World Rally Experimental) can trace its roots back to the late 1990s, when rally inspired performance family cars were all the rage.
Under the bonnet, the Impreza WRX STi boasts a turbocharged 2.5L four-cylinder boxer engine that pushes out an impressive 296bhp and takes it to 60mph in just 5.2 seconds. Permanent four-wheel drive ensures there's a huge amount of grip in all conditions, and firm suspension keeps body roll to a minimum.
The standard kit with an Impreza WRX STi includes electric windows, dual-zone climate control, half-leather upholstery, Bluetooth connectivity and cruise control, with touch-screen sat-nav available as an optional extra. You'll also find ample room for four adults, with improved rear leg room over the previous model. You also get lots of luggage space plus a 60/40 split rear seat for larger items - provided you can get them through the relatively narrow boot opening.
