The Suzuki SX4 is a compact car that was born out of a relationship with Fiat. It looks the part, is decent to drive and won't break the bank by any means. Despite some Italian DNA, it's thoroughly Japanese and has all the qualities you'd expect in a car from the land of the rising sun. A fantastic all-rounder, the Suzuki has so many plus points you can't help but notice it.
The SX4 has been on the go since 2006, and is available in hatchback or saloon models, both of which appear to by totally different cars that just happen share the same name. The hatchback is more of a compact SUV crossover that has some off road capability and is actually rather attractive to look at and drive. The saloon is a conservative looking auto that's certainly budget friendly but lacks any real panache.
While they may be drastically different in terms of exterior design and function, the two SX4 variants share some common ground inside the cabin. The interior is well made, logically presented and quite comfortable, which you'd expect from a Suzuki, but there's also a generous amount of equipment which gives you a lot of car for your cash overall. The hatchback version has a lot of space and is very practical on the whole, but the saloon doesn't quite follow suit due to its more compact nature.
The Suzuki is nice to drive overall however, and while it won't reach warp speed, there's still a decent amount of performance. On motorways and back roads it's civilised, although the hatchback excels in urban environments as it has a tiny turning circle. The SX4 is economical and easy on the wallet in both variants too.
The great thing about used cars for sale is that they're significantly cheaper than buying brand new but are really no different in terms of quality. Basically you get a lot of bang for your buck, and end up driving away in a real bargain. With a second hand Suzuki SX4, you'll get all the perks for less of the price, and considering its budget friendly nature in the first place, you'll be onto a winner in no time.
So with the Suzuki SX4 there's a choice between a value for money saloon or a slightly more upmarket and somewhat more exciting hatchback. Both are solid cars though and offer excellent reliability. While they may be different in function and form, both are attractive options for people who want a good car but don't want to spend a fortune.
