The Prius+, which was released in 2011, was built on the same platform as the smaller Prius. While the styling was similar in the two hybrids, the Prius+ had an extra row of seats to accommodate seven people. Toyota added some styling upgrades in 2015 with a mild refresh, but the hybrid didn't make it to a second generation before it was discontinued in 2020.
