Practicality
Because of the higher seating position, the Karoq is a good alternative to an estate car or family hatchback. It's nimble enough for the city, yet spacious enough for family life.
Interior space
- Adjustable seat height with lumbar support creates a comfortable drive.
- Sport seats available in some trims for a sporty look and feel.
- Three adults can fit in the roomy rear seats, but it's more comfortable with two.
Boot space
- 588 litres of space with available Varioflex seating, while the standard lineup has 521 litres.
- Load cover automatically lifts with tailgate to remove obstacles.
- Varioflex seating allows rear seats to tumble forward or to be removed completely.
Safety
- Euro NCAP rating was the full five stars.
- Adult occupant rating hit 93%.
- Available Safety Package adds Crew Protect Assist, plus front and rear curtain airbags.
Technology
- 8-inch digital driver display replaces older analogue gauges.
- 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system includes sat nav.
- Wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity removes the need for a cable.
Generations
While it was originally going to be a new-generation Yeti, Skoda decided at the last minute to release the brand-new Karoq in 2017. Sharing the mechanical parts with the SEAT Ateca and Volkswagen Tiguan, the Karoq had a squared-off design and angular headlights complemented with a black grille. A 2021 refresh reshaped the exterior and slimmed the headlights. The interior features continue to be updated regularly to ensure that new technology is always used.
