The Isuzu D-Max arrived in the UK in 2012 as a replacement for the Isuzu Rodeo pickup and remained unchanged until 2017, when Isuzu upgraded it to meet changing market demands. Later updates saw improved suspensions and the introduction of a tipper conversion in 2020. The strength and ready-to-work appearance remain throughout all versions and variants of the D-Max.
The D-Max is available in 2 trim levels, Utility and Premium, with several sub-levels in between. All trims come in 3 body styles: single cab, double cab and extended cab options. Utility models fall in the low-cost, basic working trucks category and come in single cab and rear-wheel drive options only. The Utility model is also known as the Business range in new D-Max versions, with the following features as standard:
The Premium range is the more diversified of the 2 trims, especially after Isuzu split the spec level into All-Purpose and Adventure categories. All-Purpose is like the entry-level of the Premium range, with Eiger, Yukon and Utah sub-levels. The features available as standard in this category include:
If you need a D-Max with features such as a touchscreen infotainment system, Satellite Navigation, DAB radio, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capabilities, opt for the 2017 D-Max Utah and higher spec versions. Since this is an Isuzu, special editions such as V-Cross and Fury offer attractive alternatives to trucks. There are also several accessory packs that you can use to modify the pickup to suit certain working conditions or comfort requirements.
