A top end trim, the Vauxhall Astra Elite is a very impressive hatchback that really does stand up to be counted in a very competitive market. it's nice to look at, spacious and comfortable inside, and absolutely practical. A good all rounder that's also fantastic value for money, you get a lot of car for your cash, which is very positive indeed. Safe, reliable and secure, all the right boxes are ticked, and engine options range from 1.6 to 1.8 litre petrols, to 1.7 and 1.9 litre diesels.Absolutely well designed, the Vauxhall Astra Elite hits the higher echelons of the hatchback market and more than justifies its popularity. The cabin is roomy and cleverly put together, and what you'll find is that everything just works well; boot space is 350 litres so everyday tasks are made easy. The gear list includes alloy wheels, climate control, sound system, electric windows, cruise control, leather seats, remote locking, airbags and driver assists. Easy to drive and quite sporty, there's a nice balance and no shortage of grip in the corners. Pay £11,000 used.
