The Vauxhall Astra SE is a popular mid level version of this modern and funky hatchback that really wants to go the extra mile. it's great to look at, nice inside, well kitted out and very easy to drive. With some obvious character, what you get is something that's safe and reliable, and a clear example of why Vauxhall has won back some kudos. Definitely a good all rounder that's value for money in all regards, engine options are 1.4 and 1.6 litre petrols, as well as 1.3, 1.7 and 2.0 litre diesels; clearly there's some decent go, but fuel economy figures are positive too.Indeed the Vauxhall Astra SE is stylish and actually quite sleek in profile; there are some nice shapes and lines on the bodywork, which definitely add to appeal. Inside the cabin, things are light and bright, and the build quality is very high. it's got a good amount of equipment that includes alloys, air conditioning, an alarm, CD stereo system, cloth seats, cruise control, airbags, electric windows, heated mirrors, and some good driver assists. A good performer out on the road, it's composed and reassuring in the corners, and actually quite perky. Pay £10,000 used.
