The Vauxhall Astra SRI is a higher end trim level on this excellent hatchback from the British automaker that is nicely sporty, great to drive and kitted out to a high standard. It looks good and performs well, and all around usability is right up there, which means it's great for people who want something with a bit of zip, but that's absolutely practical. With strong safety and reliability scores too, it's powered by 1.4 and 1.6 litre petrol engines, as well as 1.3, 1.7 and 2.0 litre diesels.Absolutely a good looking car, the Vauxhall Astra SRI has a fantastic profile and no shortage of cool lines and shapes. it's great inside too where the cabin is roomy, light and very comfortable; adults and kids can sit in the back, and there's also a 350 litre boot that keeps things practical. In terms of gear and gadgets, you'll find all the usual suspects of alloys, air con, an alarm, cloth sports seats, CD stereo, electric windows, airbags, cruise control, and remote locking, but also sporty upgrades like lowered suspension. it's rewarding to drive and is always anchored to the road; agile, responsive and grippy, it's a bargain for £9,000 used.
