The Vauxhall Corsa Elegance is a high end version of this funky little hatchback that might be a few generations old but still has a lot of appeal. What you'll find is that it's well put together, nicely practical, safe, reliable and secure. Nothing but exceptional value for money, you get a good amount of car for your cash, and that means families, new drivers and bargain hunters in particular will enjoy it. In terms of engines, you'll find 1.0 to 1.4 litre petrols, plus 1.7 litre diesels, so there's definitely some punch, but running costs are low. While the Vauxhall Corsa Elegance isn't the most modern looking of motors, it's still not bad by any means, and has quite a friendly design. The cabin is quite comfortable, roomy, bright and breezy and solidly assembled, plus you get 285 litres of boot space. Kit wise, expect to find alloy wheels, air con, an alarm, CD stereo, cloth seats, central locking, electric windows, driver aids, heated mirrors and more; clearly it's well equipped. A funky little car to drive, there's a perkiness to it that's appealing, and around town in particular it's superb. Pay £3,000 used.
