While Volkswagen has been building the Caddy model for several generations, the Maxi Life wasn't introduced until 2007, during the third generation. This longer-wheelbase people carrier has now entered its second generation (the fifth for the Caddy), and it benefits from some updated tech features.
Second Generation (2020-present)
With the new generation, the Caddy became the first commercial vehicle from VW to use the same platform as the Volksagen Golf. The switch allowed for more passenger-focused layout and additional space.
Multiple powertrains still exist, with options between petrol and diesel. The interior has also been updated to be more car-like and less van-oriented, with options for a touchscreen display of up to 10 inches.
