While the Volkswagen ID.4 has only been available with an electric configuration with an automatic transmission, there has been the option to choose between rear- and four-wheel drive.
Electric- Six output options available, ranging between 145bhp and 295bhp.
- Two battery configurations available – either 52kWh or 77kWh.
- Longest electric range is up to 337 miles per charge with the 281bhp model with the 77kWh battery.

How long does it take to charge the Volkswagen ID.4?
Charging times depend on the charging method used and its wattage. For both the 52kWh and 77kWh battery models, it can take as little as 28 minutes to get from 0% to 80% if a suitable rapid charger is used. If charging at home through a 7.4kW home wallbox, the 52kWh model will take about eight and a half hours to fully charge, while the 77kWh will take more than 12 hours.
Which are the most popular model variants?
Today's ID.4 models come in two types: Match and GTX. However, among the used cars, the most popular model is the Style Edition, which offered upgraded styling features and some added technology over the base model, including keyless entry, a reversing camera, a wireless smartphone charger and a heated steering wheel.
