The Volkswagen Polo E is the entry level version on this hugely popular hatchback that's very affordable, nicely designed, positive to drive and just a demonstration of why VW is one of the best in class. While it might not be as well kitted out as some higher specs, what you get is a car that just works well every time and is very easy to live with. Practical, safe and reliable, it certainly ticks all the right boxes, and holds huge appeal with anyone from families to new driver or those people on tight budgets. Engines range from 1.2 litre petrols to 1.4 and 1.9 litre diesels, so you'll also get the benefit of low running costs. The Volkwagen Polo E looks friendly and approachable, and actually there's a lot of character to it, plus curvy bodywork galore. Inside the cabin, you'll note a light and bright atmosphere, a good amount of overall space, considering the small size, robust looking materials and an easy driving position. Even though the kit list isn't the most extensive, you still get steel wheels, CD stereo, cloth seats, airbags, driver assists, power steering, central locking, immobiliser and more; remember the point of this car is to be as affordable as possible. it's a nippy and perky little motor to drive, and there's some positive feedback through the steering wheel.
